FOR THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE
By Ted Jec
One worm afternoon, February 4th 2008 I ended at Forth Worth, Texas. I needed some diesel for may vehicle so I pulled to local truck stop. Right after I got to the pumps ... I got nicely greeted by young fellow. I could tell he is an artist.
On my right side there was parking old school bus. It happened the young guy needed some diesel so we got in short conversation. He was running bus across America, from Maryland to California and back to east coast on... biodiesel.
Boy, I liked the idea! After all the old USA still has some free minded spirit left - it got me feel better that not everything is run by big business in this country.
I told them to fill up the 5 gallons tank from my pump. Then in appreciation they played one song for me - it happened they are musicians too! I made quick
video whiled they were playing just for me!
Now that was not everything - they have CD with their music and they gave me one CD. The unusual meeting took no more then 15 minutes. We all filled up and got running our ways. I got the permission to place their songs here, I gave then extra $10.00 to get something to eat and we went our ways - so quick and so unexpectedly it happened - I did not get their names yet I know they introduced themselves nicely to me. I am sorry for my bad memory - so I called them Biodiesel Travelers as they were truly that.
Out of blue skies - we met for few moments and we got back on the long, American road. I know they have my business card - let see if I get to know their destiny in the future. I invited them to Ordinary People Magazine Headquarters in Florida - perhaps they can make it - lets hope for... lot of grease from restaurants they will use. It is lot of sewage pipes that will benefit from less old grease plugging them every day.
After while it got an idea - why not place their songs here - check them out and listen - they were nice enough to give me permission to place their music to Ordinary People Magazine readers. If you feel like it - give them couple bucks for their music. I know my help went for good environmental cause - 5 gallons of Diesel and $10.00 for some food will bring good cause for the environment. Later on I really thought I helped them for their... Free American Spirit that runs thin these days in our beloved Sweet Home USA!
All donations will go forward Biodiesel Travelers minus any fees associated with all donations. I will place here all who helped Biodiesel Travelers to accomplish their mission of their Biodiesel coast to coast trip.
Go Biodiesel Travelers - We hope you make it!
