   When one tries to explain something, we look at the dictionary definition, but ends up being our own personal secret discovery.  The above title indicates a philosophical study of ultimate causes of underlying nature of things." Still further the good book tells us the answer as "principles or procedures of philosophical inquiry."

   THE ULTIMATE SECRET FOLLOWS WITH A SCIENCE OF SECRET Rules. My 40 years with experiences of success and failures may support the following AXIOMS: "Friends", "Ask" and "Discipline". Now, for the "ART OF DOWSING" by the human being illustrated with examples beyond many peoples appreciation of how things really work.

   We are like the favorite pet in the pasture. Sometimes we are permitted to leave the surroundings and the master opens the gate. We then feel free to do the, so call "Impossible"! But yet, we fail? Why, because we did not ask "permission!" Without permission the dowser will generally FAIL WITH FLYING COLORS. The TRUE UNIVERSAL KNOWLEDGE WILL COME BY WAY OF "friends", ASKING and DISCIPLINE yourself. (I discovered many excellent dowsers had military service).

   One day my daughter, Ginette said to me over the phone, "I believe I know one secret to success!" She said, "ASK".

   The first key is "FRIENDS"

   Mr. Barnes, a long time well driller of Barnesville, Maryland, phoned me to ask if I would locate a water well for him. When one begins a new journey in life there is a FRIEND who comes along at the proper time and place. He taught me all about well drilling, geology, human nature, etc. Mr. Barnes became one of my best friends, feeding my hunger and drive to understand dowsing water wells in Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.

   One day Mr. Barnes said we did not get any water in the new well. Didn't bother him at all! He said, "Louis, lets go to lunch and come back later." When we returned to check the well, water flowed like a broken 6" water main!

   Another time Mr. Barnes said, "I have a woman with her older daughter coming to see how you locate the ground water." As the woman approached us in the field, she said, "We have come to see the' Witching party!". (That was the wrong thing to say to us!) Mr. Barnes drilled a dry hole! He called me on the phone later and told me to come back when the women were not present and we would pick a new site to drill. The next dowsed well drilled was very successful. He understood what went wrong on the first well job. The woman insulted my mind and just maybe, I, the dowser help give a dry well for her new home! (She could also afford to pay the bills too).

   Mr. Ray Poppelman told me that too many people on site and a dog running around the site will definitely influence the dowsers ability to pin point a good well site. Dowsing a well is not "show time", but spending a great deal of the client's money. My accuracy increase when I insisted on one person present, the driller or the client. (No negative people or dogs present).

   You will appreciate an extraordinary book by Allan Kardec, titled "The Spirits' Book", 20 years in the writing with over 1000 questions with extensive answers.

    A new well was needed for a stately old farm house in Virginia. Present were county health official, 2 drillers, owners, repairmen on the site area. One tree limb needed to be removed in order to set the drilling rig on the selected well site set by myself. The owner said that the limb could be cut off. Later, the owner changed his mind and I returned ALONE to locate a new well, position the drill rig and the barn was too close to the well site. After working on many other restrictions for the well site, I finally achieved a satisfactory staked position. The health department issued a permit and the well came in at 50 gallons per minute. They were so happy, they paid me immediately and sent me more clients and that I appreciated. I love it when a well produces, I receive chills all over my body!

   Mr. Carl Bracy (California) and Mr. Raymond Poppelman (Maryland) taught me the art of dowsing that I use for my friends as well as my own canoeing and surveying business.

   Dr. Kuhn called from Arkansas a few days ago. He had a friend who had a leak in his water pipe to the house, about 11 ,000 gallons per month too much! The leak indicator near the street confirmed a leak in the incoming water line. They were concerned the leak was under the concrete slab of the house. Using an extensive programming system with the pendulum, I ask Dr. Kuhn to begin talking and asking questions about the leak in the water pipe and I would now tell him information via the pendulum responses over the the telephone. Immediately I told him the leak was not under the concrete slab of the house. That was good news for all parties. Then immediately the response indicated the leak was in the front yard and I said it was about 8 feet from the house. Dr. Khun went to his friends house, found the leak about 4 feet from the house more or less, repaired the leak within 6 hours of the phone call. Everyone was now pleased and happy again!

   The "fall guy" is always the the 'dowser' when water does not run at the kitchen sink! I began to study complete well water components within the water system to help me pin point the existing complaints from the home owner. Harriet Maloney lived on top of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and called me complaining about "NO WATER". I dowsed over the phone again, checking each and every part of the installation of the water system. I received that it was an electrical component and that it was located in the box with the switches. Then Harriet said, "that has been checked an is O.K." Going over the entire water system supply from the pump, well, etc. I said the problem centers on the electrical box. Then I really stuck out my neck and said, "Call another person to look at the electrical box of switches. Later I received a call that the previous person has installed the wrong electrical component to make the pump operate properly. She was a happy camper after that repair work.

   Dowsing is instantaneous, and instinct kicks in for further details to solve problems, but there are moments of STRESS!
